Hammock night.

I had a fantastic time. Greeted by a lovely fella (jimmy/james/jeremy?) took time out to show me around and give me my options. I had a fire pit and good ground. Thank you for accommodating me and making my stay awesome. See you again.

Hammock pitch

I asked for a pitch away from others so that I could have a quiet and peaceful weekend and that’s exactly what I got, including as a bonus. A fire pit.

The staff were really friendly and the wood is lovely.  I think the shower block, toilets and kitchen area is relatively new and it’s clean and more than adequate.

Overall, this might be my favourite campsite, not crowded at all and in my little wood I didn’t hear a noise and barely noticed there were other people about.  Perfect.

Campsite availability

Hi, i would like to enquire if you may have 1 electric pitch for Friday and Saturday evening for a 5.9 mts  long camper van this coming weekend 11th & 12th September, and 2 electric pitches for the Saturday night only  1 camper van 5mts long and one tent (with electric). 6 ADULTS IN TOTAL.

Many thanks, best regards Ian Langdon.

All the weather

Was an awesome 3 nights on wild pitch w13 which allowed us to camp in 2 large tents and a gazebo for cooking. 7 of us + 5 month retriever.
We had gale force winds (no issue with the trees to protect us) and a deluge that warranted an arc!
but the memories our 5 year old daughter has brought away from the trip will be with her for ever.
We all loved it. And will return!
thank you.

Booking Enquiry

Hi,

I’m looking to book for 2 adults and 1 dog at a wild pitch for a week in August. Ideally week starting 16th or 23rd.

Is there availability for this please? I camped here last year and absolutely adored it!

Thanks, Laura

Hussey

Just got back from a lovely stay at the beautiful Ashbourne Woods. Loved camping amongst the trees, watching the birds around us we will definitely revisit & recommend to everyone. Thank you

A little piece of heaven.

We’ve been staying here for our Whitsun break for the last 5 years and for the last two years have found ourselves bumping into the same people on the way to the showers etc, so we’re obviously not the only regulars. This is such a special place. There’s so much I could talk about – the freedom for the children, the peace of the woods, the fab pub up the road, the open fires, the relaxed/chilled nature of the staff – but really, I suggest you give Helen a call, book yourself in and see for yourself.

A great stay

just come back from a very lovely couple of nights here. The grounds are stunning and the facilities are very good and very clean. Thankfully when we arrived there weren’t that many people on site but Friday and Saturday, more started to arrive.  Although not stated on the website, the site also has microwave, kettles and fridge/freezers available for use. The fridge freezers are only normal domestic ones so space is limited but very handy to have.

All in all, a lovely stay and will definitely be back again.
